PRAYING RIGHTFULLY Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 1: FATHER-CHILD RELATIONSHIP Mathew 6:9a (NKJV) "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven........." As you pray, have it mind that God is your father, and he will answer your prayers . Because he is your father, he will provide for you, protect you and meet all your needs. He is a responsible and thoroughgoing loving father who cares for his children. As you pray, have it in mind that you are ascending to the throne of your father. However, for your prayers to be heard and answered, you need to be a child of God. Prayers are meant for God's children only! Prayer is a dialogue between a Father and child – therefore there should be a Father-Child relationship - How do you become God's child? By believing and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. John 1:12 (NLT) says: "But to all who believed him and accepted him, He gave the right to become children of God"

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 2: WORSHIP Mathew 6:9b (NKJV) ".........Hallowed be Your name" Before you start praying, worship God! Exalt him and talk of his greatness. When you worship God, he draws closer to you and you draw closer to him . Miniaturize your problems and magnify the Lord. Talk and sing of his goodness, greatness, mighty and mercy. You cannot worship with a frantic mind! Take your eyes off; yourself, the surrounding, and your problems, and focus on GOD. At that moment, it’s not about what’s wrong with you but what’s right with him. God not only deserves worship, he commands it Worship is a heart matter. Why? Your heart is the source of life and that is where God dwells, so sing and make melodies in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19 (NLT) “Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts”

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 3: HEAVEN ON EARTH Mathew 6:10 (NKJV) "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The idiom 'heaven on earth' means; extremely wonderful. Jesus was telling us to pray for extremely wonderful things to come our way . To have a church, life and home which is a depiction of heaven. That extremity is a representation of God’s kingdom - heaven. Before we go to heaven, you and I should experience that extreme wonderful beauty on earth, which is a resemblance of heavenly things! We should build, create and own things that glorify the Father. Marble, gold and diamonds shouldn’t only be for earthly artifact but décor for God’s house as well. If you believe and aim towards creating heaven on earth, you won't be naive by the time you reach heaven. God doesn't want you to live a miserable-mediocre life on earth, but a wonderful and abundant life. In other words let it be in your life as it is in he

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 3: BLESSING OF THIS SEASON Mathew 6:11 (NKJV) "Give us this day our daily bread." Daily bread refers to the blessing and provision of this season . Seasons change. Jesus was telling us to pray for things of the contemporary generation. i.e. contemporary cars, buildings, knowledge, systems etc. Things that define and drive this era, and when we get hold of them, use them to change and impart the world, and draw more people to God . You need the blessing of the 21 st century not 18 th or 19 th , and more specifically of 2016 The word of God does not change, but things we use in our daily life change. 30 years ago there was no social network and the internet was a closed system, today 60% of the world communicates digitally. If you are still in analogue mode, you will find setbacks. If you are still using industrial revolution methods and techniques to operate in this digital era, you need fresh anointing! A transformed contemporar

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 5: FORGIVE AND REPENT Mathew 6:12 (NKJV) “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” You will be hurt by people because the world is full of imperfect human beings. And, as much as you don’t like it, you won’t be able to prevent yourself from hurting other people too because you are an imperfect homo sapien as well. Snubbing someone who has hurt you doesn’t mean forgiveness - It’s always resentment i.e. ‘okwesonyiwa si kusonyiwa’ . No one is perfect, all of us sin, all of us have gone down a wrong path, made wrong choices, uttered and done hurtful things, and as a result, we live with guilt because we have aggrieved those who care about us and disappointed God many times. 1 John1:8(NKJV) says; “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ” When you hurt someone, you feel guilt. When someone hurts you, you feel resentment. The only way to deal with guilt is to repent and
