PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo DAY 1- WE ARE COWORKERS WITH GOD 1 Corinthians 3:9 (AMP) "……For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God....." In our day-to-day lives we need a revelation concerning certain things; for everything God does in your life, there is a part you have to play! Many times we want to know how God is going to work for us and in so doing, we forget to play our part. Often times we end up blaming God yet we have not done what is expected of us. God will not do the needful till when you have done what is required of you . Before you play the blame game, have you played your part? It is very easy for people to always assume the worst and blame God for the things that are going wrong in their lives before they look at themselves; before considering what they haven't done that has contributed to delay. The promises we wait upon, the healing we seek, miracles we believing God for, or the proph

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 2- PLAY YOUR PART BY PRAYING AND SERVING GOD Luke 1:8-13 (NLT) “One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week……….. 11 while Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar.  12  Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him.  13  But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John.” We see in Luke 1 that Zechariah waited upon the Lord – by praying and serving; he was without child and yet continued to diligently serve God. Even with this challenge he obediently performed his role; and as he went about playing his part, He received a Rhema word while in the temple going about his ministry as we can see in the scripture above. We serve a mighty God who knows what we go through and what we need or desire. We don’t serv

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo DAY 3 - PLAY YOUR PART BY BELIEVING GOD’S WORD Luke 1:38 (AMP) “ ……Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” Mary was told that she would give birth to Jesus the Saviour who was prophesied by prophet Isaiah. Matthew 1:21 (TLB) “ And she will have a Son, and you shall name him Jesus (meaning ‘Savior’), for he will save his people from their sins.” We do not mind about our prerequisite but we want to know how God is going to do what He promised or how will he perform it, even though we know that God’s ways are not ours. When God speaks forth in your life, it takes your personal initiative to have faith in His word! Always what God’s speaks into our lives through His servants, dreams or any other way is always beyond our understanding and imagination and many times it brings riot in our minds when we try to figure out how it will come to pass. Mary too was confused and she asked the

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 4 - PLAY YOUR PART BY BEING OBEDIENT John 2:5 (GW)   ” His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” In this Salvation journey, if we are to live an abundant life, our part is to do what whatever the Holy Spirit commands us to do. At the wedding in Cana, Jesus’ mother informed Him that they had run out of wine and He commanded servers to do something as seen in the scripture below. John 2:3-7 (GW)   “ When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They’re out of wine.” 4  Jesus said to her, “Why did you come to me? My time has not yet come.” 5  His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6  Six stone water jars were there. They were used for Jewish purification rituals. Each jar held 18 to 27 gallons. 7  Jesus told the servers, “Fill the jars with water.” The servers filled the jars to the brim." Jesus instructed the servers to fill the pots with water. Filling the pots with water was

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 5 - PLAY YOUR PART BY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS Joshua 6:2 (TLB) “ God spoke to Joshua, ‘Look sharp now. I’ve already given Jericho to you, along with its king and its crack troops. Here’s what you are to do….” In Joshua 6, the Lord gave Joshua specific instructions on how to conquer Jericho which instructions he passed onto the priests and the people. Many times at various seasons, the Lord gives specific instructions to our Joshua – Pastor, on what is to be done at specified time – this could be, fast for specific days or offer, but some people stubbornly decide to rebel and in so doing they even harvest a portion of their rebellion by missing out on the blessing of that moment. Whatever the Holy Spirit or servants of God tell you to do is what you should do; our role as believers is to follow instructions. You want the walls of Jericho to fall; play your part by following Joshua’s instructions.  Joshua 6:6-10 (TLB) “ So Jo

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 1: FATHER-CHILD RELATIONSHIP Mathew 6:9a (NKJV) "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven........." As you pray, have it mind that God is your father, and he will answer your prayers . Because he is your father, he will provide for you, protect you and meet all your needs. He is a responsible and thoroughgoing loving father who cares for his children. As you pray, have it in mind that you are ascending to the throne of your father. However, for your prayers to be heard and answered, you need to be a child of God. Prayers are meant for God's children only! Prayer is a dialogue between a Father and child – therefore there should be a Father-Child relationship - How do you become God's child? By believing and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. John 1:12 (NLT) says:  "But to all who believed him and accepted him, He gave the right to become children of God"

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 2: WORSHIP Mathew 6:9b (NKJV) ".........Hallowed be Your name" Before you start praying, worship God! Exalt him and talk of his greatness. When you worship God, he draws closer to you and you draw closer to him . Miniaturize your problems and magnify the Lord. Talk and sing of his goodness, greatness, mighty and mercy. You cannot worship with a frantic mind! Take your eyes off; yourself, the surrounding, and your problems, and focus on GOD. At that moment, it’s not about what’s wrong with you but what’s right with him. God not only deserves worship, he commands it Worship is a heart matter. Why? Your heart is the source of life and that is where God dwells, so sing and make melodies in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19 (NLT) “Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts”

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 3: HEAVEN ON EARTH Mathew 6:10 (NKJV) "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The idiom 'heaven on earth' means; extremely wonderful. Jesus was telling us to pray for extremely wonderful things to come our way . To have a church, life and home which is a depiction of heaven. That extremity is a representation of God’s kingdom - heaven. Before we go to heaven, you and I should experience that extreme wonderful beauty on earth, which is a resemblance of heavenly things! We should build, create and own things that glorify the Father. Marble, gold and diamonds shouldn’t only be for earthly artifact but décor for God’s house as well. If you believe and aim towards creating heaven on earth, you won't be naive by the time you reach heaven. God doesn't want you to live a miserable-mediocre life on earth, but a wonderful and abundant life. In other words let it be in your life as it is in he

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY DAY 3: BLESSING OF THIS SEASON Mathew 6:11 (NKJV) "Give us this day our daily bread." Daily bread refers to the blessing and provision of this season . Seasons change. Jesus was telling us to pray for things of the contemporary generation. i.e. contemporary cars, buildings, knowledge, systems etc. Things that define and drive this era, and when we get hold of them, use them to change and impart the world, and draw more people to God . You need the blessing of the 21 st century not 18 th or 19 th , and more specifically of 2016 The word of God does not change, but things we use in our daily life change. 30 years ago there was no social network and the internet was a closed system, today 60% of the world communicates digitally. If you are still in analogue mode, you will find setbacks. If you are still using industrial revolution methods and techniques to operate in this digital era, you need fresh anointing! A transformed contemporar

PRAYING RIGHTFULLY Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 5: FORGIVE AND REPENT Mathew 6:12 (NKJV) “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” You will be hurt by people because the world is full of imperfect human beings. And, as much as you don’t like it, you won’t be able to prevent yourself from hurting other people too because you are an imperfect homo sapien as well. Snubbing someone who has hurt you doesn’t mean forgiveness - It’s always resentment i.e. ‘okwesonyiwa si kusonyiwa’ . No one is perfect, all of us sin, all of us have gone down a wrong path, made wrong choices, uttered and done hurtful things, and as a result, we live with guilt because we have aggrieved those who care about us and disappointed God many times. 1 John1:8(NKJV) says; “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ” When you hurt someone, you feel guilt. When someone hurts you, you feel resentment. The only way to deal with guilt is to repent and
