KEEP YOUR LAMP BURNING Pr. James Victor Lubwama Matthew 25:1-13 (NKJV) “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the oth

HEBREW WOMEN Pr. James Victor Lubwama Exodus 1:15-20 (NLT) "Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah: 16 “When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” 17 But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too. 18 So the king of Egypt called for the midwives. “Why have you done this?” he demanded. “Why have you allowed the boys to live?” 19 “The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women,” the midwives replied. “They are more vigorous and have their babies so quickly that we cannot get there in time. 20 So God was good to the midwives, and the people [of Israel] multiplied and became very strong" The  death of Christ  ushered in the new covenant ( Mathew 26:28 ) under which we are justified by God's grace and mercy; Jesus Himself is the Mediator of this b

POWER OF A SONG   (SPIRIT-INDUCED, SCRIPTURE-FILLED)   Pr. James Victor Lubwama 1 Samuel 16:14-23 (GNT) “The Lord's spirit left Saul, and an evil spirit sent by the Lord tormented him.  15  His servants said to him, “We know that an evil spirit sent by God is tormenting you.  16  So give us the order, sir, and we will look for a man who knows how to play the harp. Then when the evil spirit comes on you, the man can play his harp, and you will be all right again.” 17  Saul ordered them, “Find me a man who plays well and bring him to me.” 18  One of his attendants said, “Jesse of the town of Bethlehem has a son who is a good musician. He is also a brave and handsome man, a good soldier, and an able speaker. The Lord is with him” ………….... 23  From then on, whenever the evil spirit sent by God came on Saul, David would get his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave, and Saul would feel better and be all right again.” Music is a powerful weapon, and there is a lot

WHOSE REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE? Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo Acts 4:18-20 (NIV) “Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, "Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! 20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." We have seen God do a lot of things in our lives. However, amidst problems many people are lost or confused about what to believe and on where to anchor their hope. In life, there are two sides from which one has to choose what to believe; you can either choose to believe God or you can choose to follow the enemy - the devil who is opposed to godly things. We have received a lot of promises from God through; prophesy and His word, and when we receive the Rhema word, our minds start imagining how those words will come to pass. We start expecting and assuming that God will bring them to pass in ways in-line w
