A GODLY FOUNDATION Pr. James Victor Lubwama You cannot fully comprehend salvation till you understand the Old Testament, because It forms a strong foundation for the New Testament, and it is a shadow of the New Testament and therefore you should not neglect it like some do. Do Not Marry The Daughters Of Canaan Isaac called his son Jacob and once again prayed for him a blessing and charged him not to marry the daughters of Canaan but rather from the house of Bethuel - man of God or the dweller in God. Laban the son of Bethuel had daughters and Isaac told Jacob to go there and marry one of them. Genesis 28:1-2 (NKJV) says; “Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan. 2 Arise, go to Padan Aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take yourself a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother” God through Isa...

WHAT TO DO WHEN PROBLEMS STRIKE Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 5 - WORSHIP GOD 2 Chronicles 20:18-28 (NLT) Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the Lord . 19 Then the Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the Lord , the God of Israel, with a very loud shout…………………. 27 Then all the men returned to Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat leading them, overjoyed that the Lord had given them victory over their enemies. 28 They marched into Jerusalem to the music of harps, lyres, and trumpets, and they proceeded to the Temple of the LORD” Worship is the strategy by which we interrupt preoccupation with ourselves and attend to the presence of God . Worship is not about you, its all about God. If only we could realize the awesome power of praise and worship and how it can transform our lives, we would stru...

WHAT TO DO WHEN PROBLEMS STRIKE Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 4 - STAND ON THE ROCK 2 Chronicles 20:17 (NLT) " But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord ’s victory. If you want God to fight for you, you need to standstill; if you want to see the salvation of the Lord, you should stand on the rock. The rock is the word of God – Rhema or Logos word. When storms strike, always remember to standstill on the Word of God because if you are not standing on the rock, you will be consumed by problems . There was a lady who came to church; she had had three consecutive miscarriages. Midway her forth pregnancy, she came to me during our weekly counseling session and narrated her misery and fears, but amidst our conversation, the Holy Spirit communicated to me and I told her that; ‘she you will give birth and nurse that child.’ She was scared that she would lose that preg...

WHAT TO DO WHEN PROBLEMS STRIKE Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 3 - BELIEVE GOD’S SERVANTS 2 Chronicles 20:20 (NKJV) “Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets and you shall prosper” Before God does anything, he first speaks through his prophets. The bible says in Amos 3:7 (NLT) that; “Indeed, the Sovereign LORD never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.” When you are struck by problems and have called upon the Lord, the prophetic ministry will later swing into action to give you direction – God will send a Rhema word to you through His servant. As they were praying, the Spirit of the Lord descended unto Jahaziel, a prophet and spoke these words in 2 Chronicles 20:15-17 (NLT); “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, ...

WHAT TO DO WHEN PROBLEMS STRIKE Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 2 - REFER TO THE PREVIOUS VICTORIES 2 Chronicles 20:7 (NLT) “O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham?” When faced with problems, we should always remember the previous victories or testimonies and miracles that were made possible by God because, they give us hope and boast our faith in the Lord knowing that He who did it before will do it again. Are you not the God who gave me a job when I had been jobless for 3 years? Are you not God who healed me when I was sick? Are you not God who built me a house? Always refer to your previous testimonies or victories that God gave you. Jehoshaphat called upon the mighty God of Israel who drove out inhabitants of Canaan and planted foreigners – a person who remembers what God did yesterday is the only person who can see...
