FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT Pr. James Victor Lubwama Day 1 - WE ARE BORN FIGHTERS 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV) “ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” We are all born fighters - y ou must be a warrior in order to get what you desire! This is in counterpoint with the vision of Miracle Christian Fellowship Ministries which is; “to train and equip an army in the body of Christ to make war in the later.” Just like the bible says in Palms 18:34 (NLT) that;  “ He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.” We learn from Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4 that we are all fighters and there are no civilians in the army of God, and in order to achieve anything in this world we have got to fight. This was not in God’s original plan, however when the devil tricked man in the beginning, he snatched authority from Adam. From then on we have had to struggle for everything thus our life has become a battlefield. Jesus said i

FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT Pr. James Victor Lubwama Day 2 - IT ALL BEGINS IN THE SPIRITUAL Colossians 1:16 (TLB) “Christ himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can’t; the spirit world with its kings and kingdoms, its rulers and authorities; all were made by Christ for his own use and glory.” In his message to Timothy, Paul talks about having fought the good fight. We need to be aware that if there is a good fight, then there is also a bad fight! In a bad fight one may fight and miss the target or get defeated, but Paul fought a good fight, kept the faith and was awaiting a crown. 2 Timothy 2:8 (NLT) – “And now the prize awaits me – the crown of righteousness…….” At the end of the fight, we all need to be crowned; you need to be passed out at some point and with a prize. As a believer you must know that everything that wages war against you has a spiritual root. Paul shares a secret in the scripture above th

FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 3 – MAKE USE OF THE WORD Matthew 4:4 (NKJV) “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” When you pray, God hears and answers and, with his response, you conceive that which you shall birth in the right time. For everything you desire, you must first pray and ask because when you do so, God responds; however as you pray, approach the throne of God with his word because any prayer without the word of God is empty - for God honours and fulfills his word. What does God's word say about your life, children, work, marriage and career?  When you pray, wait for the response; and give God no rest until he establishes you or perfects that which concerns you (Isaiah 62:7). In 1 Kings 18:41-44 (GNT), Elijah prayed seven times until he received a sign as seen in scripture below ; “ Then Elijah said to King Ahab, “Now, go and eat. I hear the roar of rain approaching.”  42  While

FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT Pr. James Victor Lubwama Day 4 - BE POSITIONED IN THE RIGHT PLACE Matthew 28:7 (TLB) “ And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and that he is going to Galilee to meet them there.” You may have the right word at the right time but if you are not positioned in the right place whatever has been said about your life will never be realized – for God is a God of right places. You will miss God and his divine grace and provision if you are not positioned in the right place. Mary conceived Jesus while she was in Nazareth but God planned for the child to be born in another town - Bethlehem. God will create a circumstance to cause you to go where he requires you to be in order for his plan to come to pass; you will receive your breakthrough if you are in the right place. Every miracle has the anointing that will incubate it till it is birthed. You want to fight, finish and see victory, be rightfully placed. In Mathew 2

FIGHTING A GOOD FIGHT Pr. James Victor Lubwama Day 5 – BOOST YOUR PERSEVERANCE Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  2  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” To run the race and finish the course you must be mindful of the following so as to run swiftly; 1) Cast your burdens Heaviness is one of the things that prevent believers from finishing their race. When you are running and carrying a heavy load as well on your head or back, you will easily get weary and won’t finish the race. If you have ever run in school or professionally, you already know that athletes put on very light gear from shoes to vests and pants. Why? So that they can run without being held back by any weight whatsoever; so similarly, you need to put down the heavy burdens so that
