THE FOUR (4) WEAPONS FOR A CHRISTIAN
Pr. James Victor Lubwama
Ordinarily, when we speak about waging war, there are certain things the world would expect to see; for instance if Uganda is to go to war, the commander in chief will open up the armory and get the most suitable weapons to use like; tanks, choppers, guns, bullet proof vests, etc. Just like earthly governments, heaven also has its own armory. Jeremiah 50:25 (NKJV) says;
" The Lord has opened His armory, and
has brought out the weapons of His indignation;
for this is the work of the Lord God of hosts
in the land of the Chaldeans."
As Christians, we do not fight against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) and thus our weapons are not physical (carnal) but spiritual. 2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV) says:
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds"

The 4 weapons of our warfare are;
1.The Word of God.
It is His plan and purpose for your life. Always get hold of the word and use it to combat the devil. Anything outside the word of God is not His will for your life but mere wishes or fantasies. Always pray in line with the Word. Psalms 138:2 (NJKV) says;
"I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name.
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name."

2. The Name of Jesus.
The name of the Jesus is powerful.  Acts 2:21 (NKJV) affirms that:
”Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
So, when you feel overwhelmed, perplexed, attacked or challenged, just call upon the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 (NIV) assures us that;
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
For there is no other name in which we can find redemption except the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-11 says;
"Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
When you ask for anything through the name of Jesus, it will be granted to you. Jesus assured us in John 14:13-14 (NKJV) that;
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."

3. The Blood of Jesus
One of the potent weapons we have as believers against the devil and the forces of evil is the blood of Jesus. There is great power in the blood of Jesus. Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) says;
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb...."
Blood gives life. In the old testament, it was a taboo to eat blood. Deuteronomy 12:23 (NKJV) says;
"Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat. "
Also, Ephesians 2:13 (NKJV) says;
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."
Ephesians 1:7 reminds us that;
"In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace"
Cover yourself in the blood. It will protect, cleanse and give you new life.

4. Testimony
Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) says;
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony......."
The word of God is a testimony and also the truth. What God spoke, He will surely do (Isaiah 46:11). What God started, He will surely accomplish (Philippians 1:6); the God who has worked for your fellow believers will also work for you; for He will do it again and again. When you speak the Word of God, you are testifying and that will cause the devil to flee.

Let your confessions be positive, and give God no rest until He intervenes in your situation. Isaiah 62:6 (NKJV) says;
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth."
When you repeatedly utter the prophesies spoken over your life, you testify and thus wage good warfare (1 Timothy 1:18). Confess the word of God always; that way you will be testifying and defeating the devil; declare it over your life, family, business, and all areas of your life.

When you use these weapons from God's armory, you will be able to fight a good fight and extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.
