IT IS NOT NEW Pr. James Victor Lubwama Ecclesiastes 3:15 (NLT) “What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.” The challenges you are facing or problems you are going through are not new. There is someone who has gone through the same furnace and encountered the same setbacks. The trials in your life are no different from what others experience, but the difference is in how we react or respond to them; for one may choose to be silent about it; another may share it with a colleague, while another someone else may choose to surrender them unto the Lord.  But irrespective of what you are going through, take note of the following:  1. It is not Beyond Your Ability. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG) “All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come th...

EFFECTIVE AND FERVENT PRAYER Pr. James Victor Lubwama James 5:16 (NKJV) ''Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." We have prayed alot but our prayers have yielded nothing. This is because when we talk to the Father, we present ourselves in a carnal state. So, how do you pray effectively? 1. Purify your heart and mind Close off yourself from worrisome and stressing issues such as lack, disappointment or any other kind of diversion that is causing a frantic mood, and primarily focus on the most High God. You can’t pray effectively when your mind is in riot. Psalms 46:10 (AMP) says; “Be still, and know (recognize, understand) that I am God” 2. Repent and forgive God will forgive your sins, inequities and transgressions if you repent. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT) says;  ''If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and ...

PROMISE KEEPER; A GOD WHO FULFILLS HIS PROMISES Pr. James Victor Lubwama 2 Peter 3:9 (GW) “The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake” The life of Abraham the grandfather of faith offers great lessons to us this present day because we are walking the same journey of faith. He lived a very long blessed life. We are just like him because of our connection through Jesus, and we too shall live a long fruitful life. Abraham  lived to witness the birth of his twin grandsons Jacob and Esau. Genesis 25:7-9 (NIV) says; “ Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years.   8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite” When Abraham was old and without child, God had made a covenant wit...

KEEP YOUR HOPE ALIVE After the birth of Joseph, his father Jacob desired to return home where he was raised ( Genesis 30:25 ). Joseph was one of the sons of Jacob born to him by Rachel, and he was so unique because of two things: 1- He had the presence of God with him, he loved God. Genesis 39:2 (ESV) says; “The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man……” 2- He had a dream and believed in it. Genesis 37:5-9 (NIV) says; “Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.  6 He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had:  7 We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it”……… 9 Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me” Even when he went to prison, Jose...

A GODLY FOUNDATION Pr. James Victor Lubwama You cannot fully comprehend salvation till you understand the Old Testament, because It forms a strong foundation for the New Testament, and it is a shadow of the New Testament and therefore you should not neglect it like some do. Do Not Marry The Daughters Of Canaan Isaac called his son Jacob and once again prayed for him a blessing and charged him not to marry the daughters of Canaan but rather from the house of Bethuel - man of God or the dweller in God. Laban the son of Bethuel had daughters and Isaac told Jacob to go there and marry one of them. Genesis 28:1-2 (NKJV) says; “Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him:  “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.  2 Arise, go to Padan Aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take yourself a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother” God through Isa...

WHAT TO DO WHEN PROBLEMS STRIKE Pr. James Victor Lubwama DAY 5 - WORSHIP GOD 2 Chronicles 20:18-28 (NLT) Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the  Lord .  19  Then the Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the  Lord , the God of Israel, with a very loud shout…………………. 27  Then all the men returned to Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat leading them, overjoyed that the  Lord  had given them victory over their enemies.  28  They marched into Jerusalem to the music of harps, lyres, and trumpets, and they proceeded to the Temple of the LORD” Worship is the strategy by which we interrupt preoccupation with ourselves and attend to the  presence of God .  Worship is not about you, its all about God.   If only we could realize the awesome power of praise and worship and how it can transform our lives, we would stru...
