DAY 1 - WE ARE COWORKERS WITH
GOD
1
Corinthians 3:9 (AMP)
"For
we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for
God....."
In
our day-to-day lives we need a revelation concerning certain things; for everything
God does in your life, there is a part you have to play. Many times we want to
know how God is going to work for us and in so doing, we forget to play our
part. Often times we end up blaming God yet we have not done what is expected
of us. God will not do the needful till you have done what is required of you. Before you play the blame game,
have you played your part?
It is very easy for people to always assume the worst and blame God for the things that are going wrong in their lives before they look at themselves; before considering what they haven't done that has contributed to delay. The promises we wait upon, the healing we seek, miracles we believing God for and the prophecies we received, for them to be realised, there is always a man-ward side and a God-ward side, and because we are joint labourers with God, there is a part you have got to play in order to receive from Him - God will never work for you until you play your part. Whatever can be achieved in your human ability and power concerning your promise is yours to do; God will handle the impossible part - Jesus said in Luke 18:27 (GW) that; “The things that are impossible for people to do are possible for God to do”
We usually get concerned about the when, how, where and who God is going to use, but it is not for us to know, it is rather in the authority of God because our ways are not His ways and our timing isn’t His timing. When God promised the Israelites that He was going to restore His kingdom, the disciples begun to question Jesus about the timing. Acts 1:6 (MSG) says;
“When they were together for the last time they asked,
“Master are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel now? Is this the time?”
The disciples instead of
playing their part, they began questioning Jesus about the timing; for they only had
to wait on the Lord as He had commanded them. Jesus answered
them in Acts 1:7 that; “It
is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own
authority.” In other words He was redirecting them to where their attention should to be.

Corinthians 3:6-7 (AMP)
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the
while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase. 7 So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but
[only] God Who makes it grow and become greater.”
From the scripture above we see that we work together with God. Each member had his part to play and God had His which could not be accomplished by humans. When God speaks, He leaves the part that is to be played by you. We see that Paul and Apollos planted and watered respectively, but it was not upon them to know when the plant would germinate, blossom and bear fruit. When God speaks into your life, there are things you have to do in order for the word to be realised. Whatever is impossible for you, should be left to Him to accomplish; but you have to play your part, and so as you wait upon the Lord, do what is required of you.
When
God said in Deuteronomy 28:8 (NLT) that; “will guarantee a blessing on
everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain….”
it didn't mean that He will descend down and cultivate the land for you; He
doesn't plough the garden nor does He plant the maize; God doesn't write applications, that is yours to do, His role is to
cause breakthrough, anoint you with favour and make you become greater.
Many
times we blame God without playing our part, yet we are co-workers with Him.
Whatever is impossible before men is possible with God. We can plant and water,
but only God is able to bring forth life.
Before you blame God for whatever has not gone right in your life, remember that, we are co-workers with Him; so do the needful and play your part.
Before you blame God for whatever has not gone right in your life, remember that, we are co-workers with Him; so do the needful and play your part.
