PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 5 - PLAY YOUR PART BY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS Joshua 6:2 (TLB) “ God spoke to Joshua, ‘Look sharp now. I’ve already given Jericho to you, along with its king and its crack troops. Here’s what you are to do….” In Joshua 6, the Lord gave Joshua specific instructions on how to conquer Jericho which instructions he passed onto the priests and the people. Many times at various seasons, the Lord gives specific instructions to our Joshua – Pastor, on what is to be done at specified time – this could be, fast for specific days or offer, but some people stubbornly decide to rebel and in so doing they even harvest a portion of their rebellion by missing out on the blessing of that moment. Whatever the Holy Spirit or servants of God tell you to do is what you should do; our role as believers is to follow instructions. You want the walls of Jericho to fall; play your part by following Joshua’s instructions. Joshua 6:6-10 (TLB) “ S...

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 4 - PLAY YOUR PART BY BEING OBEDIENT John 2:5 (GW) ” His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” In this salvation journey, if we want to see God's promises come to frution, our part is to do what whatever the Holy Spirit commands us to do. At the wedding in Cana, Jesus’ mother informed Him that they had run out of wine and He commanded servers to do something as seen in the scripture below. John 2:3-7 (GW) “ When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They’re out of wine.” 4 Jesus said to her, “Why did you come to me? My time has not yet come.” 5 His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Six stone water jars were there. They were used for Jewish purification rituals. Each jar held 18 to 27 gallons. 7 Jesus told the servers, “Fill the jars with water.” The servers filled the jars to the brim." Jesus instructed the servers to fill the pots with ...

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo DAY 3 - PLAY YOUR PART BY BELIEVING GOD’S WORD Luke 1:38 (AMP) “ ……Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” Mary was told that she would give birth to Jesus the Saviour who was prophesied by prophet Isaiah. Matthew 1:21 (TLB) says; “ And she will have a Son, and you shall name him Jesus (meaning ‘Savior’), for he will save his people from their sins.” Sometimes we want to know how God is going to do what He promised or how will he perform it, even though we know that God’s ways are not ours, however, the most important thing to know is that when God speaks forth in your life, it takes your personal initiative to have faith in His word. Most times what God’s speaks into our lives through His servants, dreams or any other way is always beyond our understanding and imagination and many times it brings riot in our minds when we try to figure out how it will come ...

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo 2- PLAY YOUR PART BY PRAYING AND SERVING GOD Luke 1:8-13 (NLT) “One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week……….. 11 while Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. 12 Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. 13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John.” We see in Luke 1 that Zechariah waited upon the Lord – by praying and serving; he was without child and yet continued to diligently serve God. Even with this challenge he obediently performed his role; and as he went about playing his part, He received a Rhema word while in the temple going about his ministry as we can see in the scripture above. We serve a mighty God who knows what we go through and what we need or d...

PLAY YOUR PART Pr. Geoffrey Kibombo DAY 1 - WE ARE COWORKERS WITH GOD 1 Corinthians 3:9 (AMP) "For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God....." In our day-to-day lives we need a revelation concerning certain things; for everything God does in your life, there is a part you have to play. Many times we want to know how God is going to work for us and in so doing, we forget to play our part. Often times we end up blaming God yet we have not done what is expected of us. God will not do the needful till you have done what is required of you . Before you play the blame game, have you played your part? It is very easy for people to always assume the worst and blame God for the things that are going wrong in their lives before they look at themselves; before considering what they haven't done that has contributed to delay. The promises we wait upon, the healing we seek, miracles we believing God for and the prophecies ...

TAKE A STAND AND WATCH Pr. James Victor Lubwama Exodus 2:1-4 (AMP) “Now a man of the house of Levi [the priestly tribe] went and took as his wife a daughter of Levi. 2 The woman conceived and gave birth to a son; and when she saw that he was [especially] beautiful and healthy, she hid him for three months [to protect him from the Egyptians]. 3 When she could no longer hide him, she got him a basket (chest) made of papyrus reeds and covered it with tar and pitch [making it waterproof]. Then she put the child in it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile. 4 And his sister [Miriam] stood some distance away to find out what would happen to him.” By the time of Moses’ birth, Pharaoh had ordered all new born Hebrew males to be killed. But when Moses was born, the parents hid him so as to spare his life. At around three months, his parents could not hide him anymore so he was put in a basket by the river banks so that...

ABSOLUTE DEPENDENCE ON THE WORD OF GOD What do you do when amidst a sea of troubles and there's no one to rescue you?
