DO NOT FEAR THEIR gods
Pr. James

Judges 6:8-10 (NKJV)
“That the Lord sent a prophet to the children of Israel, who
said to them, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I brought you up from Egypt
and brought you out of the house of bondage; 9 and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of
the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you
their land. 10 Also I said to you,
“I am the Lord your God; do not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land
you dwell.”
The
story of Gideon, in the book of Judges, is about God, and how he operates in
the lives of his children. God’s interactions with Gideon are gentle, loving, patient,
and gracious. God is full of mercy and justice, fully loving toward his people
and wrathful toward their enemies
If God brought you out of Egypt, and
took you to a land you knew not, He will also protect and sustain you as well.
The Lord of Salvation who delivered you out of Egypt from the land of captivity
and oppression (like, sickness, captivity poverty, bareness etc.) will neither
forsake you nor let you be destroyed, and because He brought you this far, He will
also sustain you if you surrender your burdens unto Him (Psalm 55:22)
Sometimes in our workplaces, we encounter
people, who want to hinder our progress; however, do not fear or tremble, for your
God is all powerful and; “If God is for you, who can be
against us?” –
Romans 8:31 (ESV). Amidst problems and trials, be hopeful; for God is close and will send you a Rhema word to deliver you out of bondage and oppression just like He did for the Israelites.
God will fight for you and give you the Midianites in your hands (Judges 7:7-18). It doesn’t matter what you are facing, the Lord of
Hosts is on your side. You shall pay your debts and conquer your challenges in
Jesus's name because; “for everyone born of God overcomes
the world” – 1 John 5:4 (NIV)
Judges
6:16 (NLT)
The Lord said
to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were
fighting against one man.”
Do not fear because if God is for us, who can
be against us? No one
